I'm not done with the game yet, but Syun and the author made me feel inspired to write again. I keep saying "dont make me grieve with you!" whenever Lake mentions things about Syun's death. 😭
I, myself, am actually still mourning a friend. He passed away two months ago, and i try to convince myself that I've moved on but i realized I'm one of those people that don't actually do that (I genuinely hallucinated of him being in my house multiple times. It was not comforting. He was faceless because i never saw his face).
He wasn't a writer, but he sure was as hell in love with a guy he thought he didn't deserve to love like Syun loved Lake.
Playing this game made me realize a lot of things even if I'm not done with it yet: I still have a story to write, and i can still hold my pen. I like someone, and i want to feel like i deserve to like them.
I'm struggling with many mental health problems, but I'm still here, alive, and warm. My friend's death changed me a lot, even if he didn't intend to make that happen. I wish he was still here, i personally hoped he'd give me that gift himself — but he can't now, but i hope that in another universe that he will.
Please never give up on making games like these, it's not just the relationships at this point. It's the story, the effort and the love you poured into while making your visual novels. I am ITCHING for more. Your writing really captured how grievance feels.
I loved this game,it's a absolute masterpiece, but I don't know how to reach the true ending. Could someone help me?
Hello! A few comments back I gave some tips. You have to get to the point where Lake considers keeping Syun forever. Get that ending, then next time you get to that point, you’ll get a new choice that leads to the true ending.
I actually have a question how did Syun die
it’s said in the true ending
Too be honest despite Syun knowing Lake still loved him WHY THE HELL WOULD SYUN CHOOSE DEATH OVER LIVING WITH LAKE!?
I was on the verge of crying on the true ending and not only that I was still trying to hold back my tears from no longer seeing Syun on the main menu (edit: I did ending 3 again hoping I can sort of bring Syun on the main menu again but... He's not there my Baby Syun ain't there anymore he was like a son to me😭😭😭😭)
First of all, did you kiss the brick before throwing it at us?. SECOND OF ALL OOOH MY GOD at first i said "I mean this is either a sob story or it'll end in a good way warp up everything blah blah" BUT IT DIDN'T TURN THAT WAY AND IM SSSOOOOO GLAD ABT IT? THE ART STYLE MUSIC THE PSYCHOLOGICAL DISCUSSIOND AND ALL WERE AMAZING? It made me feel like I was seen in a way and also made me hate how i acted all these years. After I've got to one of the endings I couldn't even bear to play and read through it again.
Thank you for this AAAABSOLUTE MASTERPIECE!!!!
the brick threw itself </3 thanks for playing! there’s a bittersweet true ending, but i understand how heavy the game is.
AAAAAAAAA THIS WAS SO AMAZING ONE OF THE ONLY STORIES TO MAKE ME CRY KEEO DOING THIS
Pode algum dia adicionar o idioma do português do Brasil?
Se alguem se disponibilzar para traduzir!
Thank you for this lovely, deeply thought provoking masterpiece. As someone who has been at the point where the only things keeping me alive were the expectations others placed on me, this hit extremely close to home but in a way that helped. Thank you for efforts despite your struggles.
First of all, I hope you are doing good. I understand how much it took for you. Second, thank you very much for making this. I feel seen in some way. The way you portrait the entire scenes and characters, especially Lake and Syun. I want to give my biggest hug to them, and most importantly to you.
Once again, thank you for being alive <3
Your sweet comment got caught by itchio’s spam filter so I only now got to clear it, sorry </3 Thank you, that means a lot to hear ❤️🫂
This was an amazing game truly the writing touched my heart. I do have a question that's been playing on my mind. How come ghost Syun doesn't recognise Kie?
Thanks for playing! This is an alternate universe, so the incident that lead to Syun meeting Kie didn’t happen. It’s also why Komi doesn’t exist in this one.
Ohhh I understand thanks for clarifying!! it's super interesting to see the parallels and I love lake as a character
To be honest, I've never read a visual novel that has touched my heart so deeply or made me cry more than this one. Seeing such a close portrayal of death, with such realistic depictions of the characters' feelings, made me feel like I was experiencing it myself in some way.
The way they both remember their experiences together from their own prespectives was truly heartbreaking, yet beautiful. That feeling of having lost someone so dear and important to you and cling to the fact that they're still there and that you can't let them go, even though it's hurting you; but on the other hand havig the strenght to try to live again without them and rebuild your life is something I'd never seen depicted this good before, and impacted me immensely. Or the fact that Syun and Lake's relathionship felt so real, with their insecurities and regrets. Not something perfect and idealistic.
Or, on the other hand, experiencing this but as someone close to the person who lost them and see them break. Watch them fall apart and try to comfort them, to let them know you actually care. This was truly a beautiful visual novel, and anyone who's interesed in it should definitely play it, because they're genuinely going to discover such a work of art.
This game is an absolute masterpiece at character writing! Each character felt real and unique and fell in love with each one of them. Lake's development was handles beautifully. Growth is not this linear line that we experience, but a push and pull, which Lake's character expressed magnificently!
Syun especially pulled on my heartstrings. Having experienced much of the same issues that Syun goes through, I found myself reflecting upon my past self through his character. That deep feeling of regret really resonated with me. I imagined myself in Syun's place, feeling that regret, and I'm so happy I'm here today.
I haven't had a change to get the other endings yet - only getting the bad one ig? But I will definitely try to make time to get the other two. Your game is the whole reason I fell in love with visual novels and just gaming in general. This medium allows creators to tell deep and nuanced stories in an engaging way. This game deserves so much more love and I hope that one day more people see this!
Great work! Will be looking forward to your future projects~
I loved this game so much!! I intended to write a comment way earlier but life got in the way.
I adored Lake and their POV. I've played most of the other games (Meiriverse games? Sweetend Placebo games?) before so I was already familiar with Lake but this game really sold their character to me. I'd say they're quite different from me personality-wise, yet I found myself relating to them all the time. Probably helps that I also have OCD---and though I experience it differently than Lake, I do appreciate the representation. I've also kind of been going through a months-long heartbreak-induced depressive episode, so their character comforted me tons. I just wanna stress that I obviously know that this isn't comparable to what Lake has to endure at all and I don't mean to imply that it is, just that emotion-wise, their story comforted me, too.
I appreciate how consistent Lake's character is across the games. It's mostly a vibe thing but they really feel like one person evolving through the years. I mean, I can totally see Lake from DML maturing and becoming this version of Lake. They feel similar enough to be the same person but different enough that it's clear they've grown a lot. I NEED to know what Lake is up to in the main timeline lol and I hope that Doce Fim sells well enough to fund that potential Lake DLC 🙏 Bought the extra book to support the cause (plus to find out more about the Lake-Syun-Lion thingie)
Speaking of POV characters, I also think you're amazing at writing different points of view. Lake, Syun and Charlie's POVs in their respective games all felt distinct, genuine and... not completely sure how to say it; realistic? Grounded? They felt like real people is what I'm trying to say.
I also liked seeing the more grounded side of Kie that was previously shown in the One Last Story DLC. I find it interesting that he basically pretends to be someone he's not only when Syun's there---of course there's the paper bag and the alias, but specifically I mean his over-the-top behavior---when in the OLS DLC Kie mentioned he thought some people liked him only for the characters he's played and not the real him (not the exact words). Very interesting!
Can I also say that I ADORED the 5 seconds of Luz---or should I say Jane---content? I'll forever feel proud that I predicted that reveal. Peak of my theorist career fr. I love Jane so much and I'm dying to find out what she's up to in Doce Fim.
All-in-all, I really loved the game and I'm looking forward to the rest of Doce Fim so much!!
I just wrote a long ass review on this game. Absolute masterpiece. I really enjoyed it, and I wish there was more people that played this. If anyone else comes across my comment, know that this game is truly worth it, and is so underrated it kinda breaks my heart. :(
Thank you for the kind review ;w; sadly the game has flopped yeah… people don’t know what they’re missing…
I know seriously. Can't wait to see more of ur games tho ;3
idk if im halfway or just barely in the beginning... i keep crying T-T i cant stop crying... at first i didnt even know what kind of playthrough imma experience (guess who dont even read the summary). one last goodbye is the lucky chosen one (game that i clicked randomly). i played expecting a world apocalypse. how doomed this story will be. i wasnt expecting shun to be... for 2 years TOT they acted totally normal in the beginning. i never thought.. after reading some comment, i see this is a story for lake learning how to live again. i love both shun and lake. but my heart isnt ready yet. im going through something too and ngl i had a lot of mid paused game discussion :X why did shun do this, why did lake do this. why and just why? ill play again once i feel okay. too much rollercoaster emotion from reading this T-T
please read the content warnings carefully, this is a very very heavy game ;_;
Hello, great game, I don't have any deep thoughts on it unfortunately, but I wanted to point out a small bug I encountered. I don't remember exactly where it was, but I got the error message "Couldn't find file 'images/effects/wet.png'". The game ran completely fine afterwards, so no rush, but I wanted to let you know. Also this was on PC, not Android, if that helps.
omg I have no idea how to get the true ending howww i already got ending 1 and 3...
you need ending 2, you need to pick the choices that keep lake closed off from lion and rikka (but dont reject lion’s lesson), then when the moment of telling them about syun comes, you’ll have a new choice
thanks!! I love this game so much!! Crazy underrated...
Omg I just got the true ending!! I sobbed so much but it was so worth it. This game is honestly so so so good is deserved to be famous. The art, the story, the writing, it's literally perfect in my eyes. had me sobbing like five times (probably more, actually) and I'm definitely going to obsess over this and re-play it over and over. Actual masterpiece, so happy I got to play this!
I cried so hard when I got ending 3... working on getting the different endings also, this is such a good game!! As a person who struggled with bolth losing someone and ocd, this is seriously accurate to how I felt in that time. Made me tear up multiple times lol. This is definitely one of those games I'll remember for eternity.
Thank you so much for playing! It means the world to me that the game impacted you this much ;w;
This is literally so beautiful, I cried a lot during the true ending. It feels so real and emotional. I'm happy you're in a better place, and good enough to make content that could be heavily triggering, and that we were able to see this beautiful game. At first I was like: Why haven't I seen anyone talk about this game? Then I realized this is recent, lol. Anyways I really like this!
Muito obrigado autora, e agora vc me deixou curioso sobre Doce Fim, caos
<3
Thank you so much for playing! Unfortunately this game has flopped a bit badly haha. Doce Fim é melhor ainda =)
Started playing right shortly after I finished Doce Fim and my goodness once again I found myself crying so much, especially when Syun broke down because it was so relatable- I went through that phase a long time ago and still recovering slowly.
Lake and Syun were so relatable with their struggles, and how you wrote Syun throughout the whole thing! That idea of illusion v reality- the push and pull with Lake of clinging onto familiarity while knowing you have to heal and move on but your struggling how to do it while slowly healing and opening up to new people! Along with Syun's conflicts of staying to be an anchor for Lake after his death but that regret of seeing the world go pass- not being able to experience it with your loved one and have that normal he had comfort in while bottling it up to not worry Lake and trying to help Lake move on by basically being like Komi in Doce Fim by encouraging Lake to make friends and have these new opportunities so he knows Lake has people and is in safe hands.
I haven't finished completely but just like with Doce Fim, I really hope this gets the attention and love it deserves along with all of your other works!
Thank you so much for playing and for the kind feedback! It means a lot to hear that my intentions with the writing were conveyed properly ;w; Also happy the Komi/Syun parallels were noticed, I was aiming for a bit of an ironic roleswap there hehe.
how do u get 2 the true ending?
see endings 2 and 3. play around with the choices and you’ll unlock a new choice in that ‘lake considers giving up’ scene.
thanks
i was crying when i played it. im gonna try to get to an ending when lake moves on
stumbled upon this while looking for new vn's and all i can say is... WOW
as someone who is queer, neurodivergent and has mental health struggles, it was if some of your words were plucked directly from my brain ^^ the way you depict grief, loneliness and isolation, wanting to find your place, etc. like... this entire thing is just really beautifully and tragically written
sobbed quite a bit throughout, esp whenever syun would break down T^T then literally gasped when the first ending i got was ending 3 aahhh but! this will def be something i come back to, and i really hope that it takes off <3
Thank you so much for the the kind words! ;w; I put a lot of myself into this writing so it means a lot to hear that it was conveyed the way I intended it to. <3
Ahhhh this looks so good but I can't play it rn (no time + dk if I'm in the right headspace, given the content warnings)
Will update when I eventually play + finish the game
Am I crazy or is that Adachi Rei in Lake's bedroom?
that’s Komi…
ohhhh oops

This hits so hard, my situation is a bit different but still, my name is close to Lake (also a body of water) and recently, two of my friends attempted, so this makes me think 'is this the what if'? I'm not romantically with either, but still, amazing writing
Thank you so much for playing! I’m sorry to hear that and I hope your friends are safe ;_; please take care of yourself.
Of course! One is ok now, they don't recommend attempting and they seem like they're doing well, the other is currently in an Institute, it's not the first time tho, and I will, thank you
knowing the end from the sequel,i don't think i'm ready for this one yet, although i'm grateful for your hard work

Habrá posibilidad de alguna traducción a otros idiomas en el futuro? :3, es una de las mejores novelas que he visto
It depends on if someone wants to volunteer to translate it!
Tienes pensado en ponerlo para Android??? ♥️ Solo pregunto no quiero ofender o presionar
Done =)
This is one of the best visual novels I've ever played. The writing is amazing, the characters and their dialogue gave such a real portrayal of struggling with mental illness and grief. I loved all parts of this vn, the writing, art, sound design, and I especially loved the message it gives 💖
Thank you so much, I’m honored to hear that you liked it so much! ;w; This means the world to me, thank you!
I just read your comment about how this game is flopping!?? LIKE HOWWW?!?!?!?
I love this game so so much, the story was so so good, it portrayed so many emotions and was so emotionally complex. I really cant find vn that are this real and hits this hard.
Thank you for making this!! <3
The flop is actually astronomical. ;_; And ironic considering what happens in the story.
Thank you so much for playing and the kind words! Any feedback at all means the world to me. ❤️
I wanna finish your other games first (plus life's really busy rn) but im really looking forward to playing this one! I love your games
